Journey
My path as an engineer, from my first internship to today.
Experience
Senior iOS Engineer
Platform work on the arabam.com iOS app, in the TechOps team.
- Modularization with SPM: the codebase from 2016 moves into Swift packages. The goal is that each module builds on its own in CI with a cache. The work continues, and the code gets better every day.
- Made a SwiftUI and MVVM-R base for new features.
- Uses modern Swift Concurrency, such as async/await, in the project. The goal is concurrency-safe code.
- AI-assisted workflows for the iOS team: shared Claude Code and Codex skills that contain our architecture and rules. They take a Jira task through planning, code, build and pull request.
- Automated pull request reviews, a weekly agent that checks and updates third-party dependencies, and a crash-fix agent for the crashes that we track in Firebase Crashlytics. Also automated release tasks (Bitrise, App Store Connect) and crash summaries in Slack.
- 2026
Leads the work on an automated Figma-to-code flow. Makes a design system together with the design, front-end and Android teams, and adds it to the codebase. The goal is a fully automated design-to-code process. The work continues.
Researched good practices for agentic coding. Set up the base for it in the codebase, and taught and guided the team.
Set up the base for the modularization with SPM. Divided the work in the team and led the team through the process. Made sure that the modules get unit tests as part of this work.
Rebuilt the push notification and deep link routing.
Completed the Liquid Glass design in all of the app, with the team.
- 2025
Managed the move of the app to the iOS 26 Liquid Glass design. Followed the work of the team through the full process.
Built a complete payment flow in SwiftUI. Each flow in the app can use it.
Raised the minimum iOS version to iOS 17.
Joined TechOps, a new team, with a defined role and the senior iOS engineer title.
